We were approached by ERDF Convergence to create a set of Icons to be used to help with navigation on their website. We needed to make sure that they fitted with the current brand styling and not look like an after thought.
The brief required us to come up with a suite of simple Icons that visually translated each section and be easily recognisable and not too complex as they would be used at a small size. When working with a government body, every aspect has to be considered and each Icon had to be sure to represent each area without being misleading or misinterpreted. There are 3 parent Icons, Investing In Our Future, Making Connections and Strengthening Business. Each set then has further Icons. Investing in Our Future has Higher Education, Regeneration and Research, Innovation and Knowledge, Making Connections has Transport, preparing for Infrastructure and Digital, with Strengthening Business having Workspace and Business Support.
This was a great graphic design project to test our skills and we can’t wait for the legacy book we will be doing later in the year.

SIR ROBIN OF LOCKSLEY GIN
Young and up and coming Locksley Distillery have produced a Sheffield Gin especially for the American and predominately New York market. The craze for cocktails is at its height and Gin and Prosecco is top of the list.
Our jobs was to design the brand and packaging for the on-body labels. We also used our illustration skills to created a hand rendered initial ‘R’ which includes elements of the ingredients, infused into the gin.
As brand and packaging designers, we love projects like this and jumped at the chance to get involved. Although these routes didn’t make it, the final design is in production and will be ready very soon. We're still really proud of all of the designs and felt it would be a shame to hide them away.
Gin and Prosecco anyone…

We were commissioned to design a brand and packaging route for Sharp's Brewery's new Premium Craft Beer Range, Connoisseur's Choice.
With an air of distinction and the simple introduction of a bright metallic foil accent on a complementary coloured stock, added a contemporary slant. It was also important that the Head Brewer, Stuart Howe was intrinsically bound into the design somehow and so the introduction of his signature and intro text gave it that personal touch.
The branding is simple and elegant and has chosen to be popular with punters and critics alike, winning a multitude of awards including several design and packaging awards, including the coveted Supreme Champion at the International Beer Awards.

A life long project, Notes to an Unknown Lover, is a collection of poems by Sadia Sadia. Sadia is multi-disciplinary artist working across a wide variety of media, including sound, still and moving images.
We wanted the poems to speak for themselves, so our approach to the graphic design was to use clean typography, a bespoke illustration for the front cover and use of white spaces tied with the beautiful images of a peony in various stages of decay. The end result is a really special limited edition book.

The Cornwall, approached us to design the brand identity and literature for their latest property development.
We were firstly asked to name the project and as the hotel itself had a pretty straight forward no-nonsense name we came up with 24-36 The Cornwall, phase two of an ambitious vision for this 43 acre site of ancient woodlands. Built 1819, The Cornwall is a luxury four star hotel and 24-36 The Cornwall are 12 stunning oak framed holiday homes set in the hotels amazing grounds.
We then created a brand the identity, Introduction Pack, brochure and 12 inserts, also well as art-directing and photography for a set of beautiful concept driven images.

ALAN FLATT & Co.
When it comes to foiling, embossing and other beautiful traditional techniques, Alan Flatt is your man. There's nothing like the feel or look you get from a traditional press and we use it as much as we can. So when he asked us to come up with a business card to show what he does, we jumped at the chance. It's a simple concept; Print Starts, Print Finishes.
We have consequently help to renamed the business, design and create both a new brand identity and well as further direct mail pieces and a design website to show off his super skills!
We absolutely love it and so does he…

We created a hand drawn illuminated Initial logo for Lockley Distillery's Sir Robin of Locksley Gin Bottle. The gin is infused with Dandelion, Lavender, Elderflower and Juniper Berries. The gin will be distilled in Sheffield, hence the Robin Hood brand name and then shipped to the US where there is a craze for Processco and Gin and we know why… because it's delicious.
Hush has also designed the branding and packaging for the on-body labels, which is due for launch very soon.

THE FAT DUCK
The Fat Duck commissioned us to design a packaging route in a ‘baccy style' pouch, for their sweet Cavendish Infused Coconut Baccy. The graphic design is typographical led, influenced by some well know tobacco brands, with the addition of a coconut illustration. The pouch is one of several items given to the customer as a take home gift, in an old sweet shop style bag. Tasty…

THE ONLINE BOOK CO.
The Online Book Company produce digital books for anything from Margaret Thatcher's Memorial, loss of a loved one to pet bereavement. They are places where people can upload pictures tell stories or pay their respects.
We were asked to design a brand identity which would work as an umbrella brand for their family of on-line books. We chose to use the infinity mark which evolves from Friends and Relations, a division of The Online Book Company giving synergy to the two main brands.
A brand workshop and naming process was needed for this dynamic new coaching company. Using just four colours, Red, Green, Blue and Yellow, they have taken psychometrics to a new level of practical application that is brilliantly simple, compelling and effective. Although the process is simple, the outcome can be complex and therefore we created a brand Identity that visually reflects that.
Along with the brand identity, our graphic design skills were put to the test, creating a wide ranging set of collateral, including an Introduction Brochure, Desktop Book, Workbooks, Inserts and Flash Cards as well as Models, Diagrams and Iconography for Capio Man, there colour combination symbol.
An extensive branding project, it’s has been a pleasure to work with the Capio team. If your interested, our creative director is Green Yellow…

WATERGATE BAY HOTEL
This highly conceptual lifestyle magazine was first created to express a new approach to English beach holidays, focusing on the aspirations of the 30 somethings generation, drawn to Cornwall by a desire to live the surf life in sophisticated and stylish surroundings. What started as a slightly left field concept, this multi award-winning magazine, turned into a credible magazine with previous guests requesting it to be sent each year.
Along with the graphic design associated with the magazine format, we also created the brand identity, art-directed countless photo-shoots, spawned pages of creative copy, illustrated anything from butterflies to pigs and in truth had a bloody great time doing it!

CORNISH COUNTRY LARDER
We were approached by Cornish Country Larder through our brand and packaging work for Tideford Organics. The brief was to design the packaging for the on-body label their new Baby Brie cheese. They wanted to appeal to a broader audience and try and tempt the less adventurous punters to try the great taste and adaptability of their Baby Brie. The label is 46mm across, so quite a big ask! The label needed to be conceptual and not just another cow in a field approach.
We took them down some fun a challenging routes and in the end they went for a simple but clever solution… What will you make of me?

Devon based Tideford Organics produce hand made simple and tasty organic soups, sauces and deserts. We were asked to help evolve the brand along with the creation of packaging solutions for each of the ranges. Each has it's own bespoke illustration with simple colour changes to define each flavour – Yum Yum

Working with her web development team, we designed the look and for feel for London Fashion Designer, Vanessa Knox’s eEcommerce website. The project was predominately graphic design, but we also went on to design and create a Folly site, with illustrations and animation, where customers could interact, get special offers and catch up with the latest 'who's wearing Vanessa Knox' Blog.
Brilliant client and a really great team to work with!

Kegel 8 was a great product, but it's original packaging was letting it down. After creating the brand identity, we then took the product and created a clean and simple packaging solution. We designed a bespoke box to house the device and a slip case which would change depending on which version they were selling.
Our approach from a graphic design perspective, was to keep the colour palette subtle with clear typographical hierarchy and the packaging clean with the use of women who could represent the broader than normal target range. Directly after launch of their initial products, they secured a large order from a well now High Street retailer and are now taking their products over the ponds.
We love it when a plan comes together.

After a couple of lengthy, but enjoyable brand and naming workshops, Netherton Cottages became The Green, Cornwall. The location is set smack dab in the Cornish countryside with nothing but trees and open fields as far as the eye can see, making it the perfect brand name. We took a simple approach to the typography with the illustration working well, both within the logo and as a separate design asset.
We also helped with some interior design consulting, way-finding and bespoke house signage along with the creation of an extensive photographic photography library, with a mixture of royalty free and commission shots.

We've worked with Hall for Cornwall on posters and programmes, but here we were asked to create their Annual Report and Accounts. Working with their brand guideline made this a simple graphic design exercise with our creative input on typography and imagery.

SPACE IN BETWEEN
In the words of CIM Guru's Jo Smith and Lucy Cox, Space In Between offer a refreshingly new marketing perspective capitalising on the opportunities missed by conventional marketing.
They were keen not to pigeon hole themselves as just marketers, or over complicate their offering, so we kept the graphic design simple creating a brand identity using a distressed typewriter font and an tagline ambiguous. The graphic Thunderbolt represents power and also works great as a separate asset.
The theme running throughout the branding is Super Heroes and with this in mind, we are currently designing their website with our underpants on the out-side of our trousers.
Great clients, fun project!

Working alongside Rachel Barton Coates, Hush were asked to design a corporate brochure for this international firm of architects.
After creating the brand identity we set to work on the brand styling using bold colours and metallic ink as a really effective way to show off some of their amazing projects. Graphic design made easy…

Another coloration with Rachel Barton Coates, Hush were asked to come up with a concept brochure for Zoeftig's Airport seating range. The furniture is beautiful yet durable and so we superimposed individual pieces into challenging locations, like a rugged coast line or mountainous range making them look megalithic.
We used both our graphic design and image retouching skills here and a clean typographical approach for the page layout.

Matt Jessop has been successfully working as a commercial photographer for over 20 years. He wanted to be able to show his diverse portfolio without creating an expensive portfolio book. The solution was stickers for the letterhead, CD insert cards and business cards backed with his fab images.
A simple typographical approach for the logo was required and allowed the images to speak for themselves. We also came up with the strap-line Great Image, Commercial Sense, which suggest that an image of a garden shed can still be a beautifully shot.
We always love working with Matt and it’s great to have such a creative talent part of Team Hush!
